Ford Factory

In Ford factory, there are many photgraphs, maps and artefacts, which makes you sort of travel back to time. It details world war 2 in Malaya and also shows the  socio-political climate of the Malay Penisula in the late 1930s and the plans of the Japanese invasions. The artefacts are knife, boots and guns and pistols, which look very cool. Also, it shows stories of heroism and sacrifice of the soldires and people. It also shows stories and the cruelty and the accounts of people during the war.

The ford factory shows how the Japanese toture people, and show pictures, drawings and recounts of people who experienced it. There were many disgusting facts about the war that was shown there, about rape, hot spots and etc. Futhermore, there were war recounts by people. One of the most horrifying facts was that before the surrender of the British, the Japanese actually killed babies! What a horrifying thing to do! Nevertheless, they got their retribution: the bombing of fukushima. Also, there were life statue of people,  namely: percival etc.

Interesting history about Ford Factory

The factory was built by Ford Motor Works in Singapore in October, 1941 and it became Ford's first motor car assembly plant in Southeast Asia.

•  Sadly, the Japanese forces invaded Singapore soon after it was built. 
•  The Factory’s modern assembly equipment was used by the Royal Air Force to assemble fighter planes in  the Malayan Campaign.
•  However, most of these aircraft defended Malaya. The aircrafts flown out of Singapore towards the end of January 1942, when the prospects for Singapore looked bleak. Many battles were fought near  the Ford Factory .
• It soon taken over by the Japanese Army and used as the Japanese'smilitary headquarters. 
• After the British surrendered, the Japanese forces moved its headquarters to Raffles College.
